Sorry, yes I know it has a legitimate use, it was more the phrasing that
tickled the funny bone. We added it to the list of 'colemanballs' (UK
readers will be familiar with the old snooker commentator who once commented
"and for those of you watching in black and white, the pink balls is behind
the red." (allegedly!)).

It's definitely a slang word for hashish but the context would seem to
indicate a legitimate usage in the programming world:
