Thanks for the on- and off-list replies. The engineer was having trouble with the layers. Lines selected to not show up would show up anyway, etc. I finally just had him take a screen capture of the view I wanted, since he couldn't, for whatever reason, get the software to save that view.
So at least I have a bitmap to work with. Thanks for the suggestions - the replies were helpful in understanding the engineering software side of this process.
