OT - Showing a sense of humor in public

- It's going to outlive us all

My response:

No, you have quite a nice sense of humor. Yours runs along the same
lines as mine. Mine was very accurately described by a colleague as "dry
as old bones." She then added that not everyone is going to get it or
like it or like me, because I am sometimes too smart for my own good.
She was right. I tend to be serious, but when I'm being a smart -at- $$,
people don't know the difference. The result? Trouble. And people tend
to dislike smart -at- $$es anyway. These days, there is so much political
correctness going on that I "turn off" when I go to work. I simply don't
use my sense of humor.
