Background information:
 
I think that the movie "The Andromeda Strain" (1971) had some coverage  of 
'one, or more' scientists having a problem with red blinking notifications of  
warnings of virus escaping.
 
I believe that someone may not have been aware of the 'human factors'  
relating to blinking/pulsating/flickering lights.
 
So short human energy, and not looking at the full 'spectrum' of challenges  
having to do with lighting.
 
Just some thoughts on my part
