Indeed.com <http://www.indeed.com> consolidates postings from all of the
major online job boards plus many major regional boards, newspapers, and
employers.  You can specify keywords to search for and restrict your results
by location.

For example, here's an Indeed.com search that finds every job with
"technical writer" somewhere in the description, within 25 miles of Oakland,
California:
