(iii) My boss decides the entire approach was wrong and that he needs
to rewrite the entire substance of the ten-page piece. He decides and
communicates this after I stagger home early on Friday, but does not
start providing new text until sometime after 10am, after one writer
has already rewritten her section based on his 'throw it out and start
over' comment from Friday.
(four) Literal shitstorm - at 10:30 the plumbing one floor up and
right outside my office door breaks and sewage starts raining down in
the hallway.
Good news: Deadline me, stink is much better. Bad news: apparently the
stink is 'better' enough to warrant -not- getting the rest of the day
off.
