My apologies, all. The comment I made was a poor attempt on my part to inject a bit of humor into what many might consider a very serious topic. If I may though, I'd like to add that I personally see absolutely no place for politics in a technical writing work environment, especially given the nature of what a technical writer is supposed to be able to do. OTOH, good and bad politics, by nature, are often defined in the eye of the beholder, which can and does lead to an expectedly incredible array of emotionally-charged discourse, both off and online.
Again, my apologies to the offended.

traffic themselves. The light to heat ratio is far higher in the
original thread, and no one there has resorted to outright insults of
any participants. Unlike the crass labelling of all participants in
the original as "nuts".
If you're somehow incapable of ignoring and deleting a thread that you
have no interest in, why create a useless thread for others?
Hopefully our benevolent administrator sees the difference between an
active discussion and complaining malcontents and shuts down the
correct thread.
If it wasn't for the uncalled for whining and now the insult, the
thread was concluding anyways.
