At the risk of waxing cliché and philosophical,
  will anyone, on his death bed say:
  I should have spent more time at the office?
 
At the risk of waxing political,
  does anyone define a citizen by his work
or his manager's point of view?
   
  Work is a means.
  Life is an end. If a business (or a TW :-) assigns those definitions
to the other term, well, some confusion has made its way into the conversation :-)
