1. Start Distiller and click Settings > Font Locations. Make sure you're
not looking for fonts across a LAN, but only on your hard drive.
2. In Word, click AdobePDF > Change Conversion Settings, and then clear
every check box in the Application Settings area on the Settings tab.
Similarly, go through the remaining tabs and clear all check boxes.
This is for test purposes only. You can add back the conversion items
you need, one-at-a-time later, to determine if the cost in processing
time is worth the return.
3. Run tests on a small (10-page) subsample of your actual document and
troubleshoot any conversion problems there before you run your big
document again.
You need to be more specific about which links you're trying to create
and in what way they're wrong.
