I thought of that. But it would take her less time net to have me come
and do the setup again than to worry about backing up. The only setup
on her Mac is for her user account, her email, and her ISP stuff. She
wrote down the information (and I know her password and user names). I
suppose the latter makes me a kind of backup or distributed repository.
Being without the computer for a day while she waits for me to come over
is less trouble to her than having to do a settings backup. If I
thought she would

She doesn't need to back up her *data.* Next time you talk
to her, ask her how much time it would take to reconfigure
her desktop, application settings, etc. If she tells you she
has no personalized settings anywhere on the system that
she might miss, then she really doesn't need to back up her
computer.
