Beware of the too-common corporate practice of offering a nice contract, getting you to sign, and then letting you find out from their accounting department that they pay all "vendors" quarterly only, no exceptions. Unless you have a fat retirement account you don't mind accessing for a self-advance to cover this, it can be a serious problem.
