When used with MS Office, Sharepoint offers some nice integration. For
other files, less nice. (From what I remember)
This was with Server 2003 and Sharepoint Services (not Portal)
ISTR that versioning wasn't very nice with non-MS files. It could have
been user error. (me).
It sounds like the decision has been made for you?
Maybe hit them up for some training on the actual config, intended
usage, etc.
