Are you printing field codes?
Tools => Options => Print => Include with document => Field Codes
Clear the "Field Codes" option.

I need to do a mass mailing. I've set up my format, and have the mail
merge fields in, and everything looks good. BUT, when I send the merged
file to print, the address block is printing with the gray shaded
background that previously only showed on the screen.

What can I do to get rid of this? Any help would be appreciated.
