I'm in the "an FQDN" camp and agree that "Eff Cue Dee Enn" is the most
likely and appropriate pronunciation. But if people were arguing about
it, I'd rewrite to avoid the situation: "the FQDN," "a specific FQDN,"
etc.

That said, this proposal to explain SCSI is just way off base:

So you'd say "a ugly face" or "an big elephant"? I don't think so. ;-)
