If your company is selling to customers in scientific fields
and
academia, PhDs producing and presenting papers at scientific
and other professional seminars are an important part of
marketing. In organizations engaged in scientific research,
even the copyeditors have to have advanced degrees to be
taken seriously, whether they have anything to do with the
actual work or not.
