scanner failure - hp officejet d135

Hi All,

 

The error messages "Scanner Failure" and Warming Up" (like, for 1,000
years) keep showing up on my beloved HP OfficeJet d135. It is from
2001-2002. 

 

We taken good care of it and have not scanned, copied, or printed it to
death.

 

Anyone else with the same problem? If so, did you manage to remedy it?
