Hi Richard

- I am using Word 2003, Acrobat 6.0;  

- What I mean by an implicit link is one that says "Click Here" instead
of one that shows an http:// link

- My source document is in Word 2003. I can create a PDF using the PDF
creation function in Word or by using Acrobat to create pdf from the
Word document

- There is a pdf button on the tool bar in Word 2000 that creates a pdf
version of the document; I usually create a pdf by selecting the "Adobe
PDF" option in the print 
  function.

Some questions that might help us help you:

-- What versions of Word and Acrobat, and what OS?

-- What do you mean by "implicit links"? 

-- What do you mean by "Creating a pdf from Word or Acrobat"? (Acrobat
is the tool for creating or viewing PDFs, so creating a PDF from Acrobat
doesn't make sense to me.)

-- How are you creating PDFs from Word?
