In RoboHelp 5 I used P tags within the declared list:

<ol>
<li>First numbered step
</li>
<p>System response to first numbered step </p> <li>Second numbered step
</li> </ol>

I haven't used RoboHelp 7, but I'm guessing the above HTML will work
there as well.

Thanks,

Write this down: I know something about HTML coding! Woo-hoo! I guess
WinHelp really *is* dead. I had to go through this yesterday to get some
stuff to work. I am using Dreamweaver, not RH's HTML editor, but here's
how the HTML code will look:
|
<ol>
<li>
First numbered step
</li>
</ol>
<p>
Stuff goes here that is not part of the procedure
</p>
<ol start="2" >
<li>
This shows up as #2. The Start="2" code is the
trick!
</li>
<li>
This shows up as #3.
</li>
<li>
This shows up as #4.
</li>
</ol>
|
<snip>
You wrote
1. This is the first step.

2. This is the second step.

This is the system response.

3. This is the third step.
