I'm impressed at the amount of musical talent in this group.
I don't play an instrument, but I do sing. Currently, I sing with a choir
that performs pre-1600 music. Not having a choral background and not being
able to read music (yet!) makes this an interesting challenge.

I'll bet that's true of a lot of technical writers. A mix of creativity and
a nitpicky obsession with detail and structure seems to be required for what
we do. (As the saying goes, I'm anal retentive and can tell you whether or
not it's hyphenated. (It depends on the part of speech.) If you want, I
can even diagram a couple sentences to explain it. :) :) )

I'm impressed. I dabble a little with sewing and calligraphy, and am always
impressed by those who can do such things well. Manual dexterity is not my
strong suit, unless touch typing counts.
