Several years ago, we were informed that we had to change our
entire front matter to accommodate adding a copyright page in
French even in English books (and even though we provide a
French translation of our books). When the subject first
was discussed, one of our writers said that when we did the
standing text for the page, we should sneak in the phrase in
French for "California chardonnay rules!" :->
