Nope. Doesn't matter what you do, you can't keep everyone happy. (If you
give people no reason to complain whatsoever, those who get their joy from
whining will be disappointed.)
I'd still lean toward multi-posting rather than cross-posting.
Cross-posting is only helpful to those who are on multiple lists, *and* not
on digest (because if you receive the digest format, you'll still receive
multiple messages, *and* remember not to hit reply-all. Multi-posting seems
to make things less messy for everyone else.
By the way, I'm glad to know the distinction, since I'd never heard the term
"multi-post," but have seen "cross-posted" used a couple times for what I
know now was really a "multi-post."
