My opinion is that "Fund-raising" is the correct form if this were a new
term, but the term has been around awhile, so "fundraising" is appropriate.
By contrast, the term "co-worker" has been around awhile, so we may accept
"coworker" as an appropriate form for the term, but it is too easy read
"cow" in the word and misread the word as "cow-worker" or worse,
"cow-orker," whatever that could be. So the hyphen remains in "co-worker,"
but "fundraising" no longer requires a hyphen due to its widespread
acceptance as a proper word.

Incidentally, Outlook likes all forms of "fundraising," but doesn't like
"spellcheck" or "Firefox."
