AutoNumLgl fields are easy, stable, and reliable... in Word. What's all
this about NetHelp? Please elucidate.

ListNum's pretty solid, too, but it isn't built for hierarchical
numbering the way AutoNumLgl is. This has nothing to do with versions.
Both of them work in 2002, 2003, and (so I'm told) 2007.

As for MS Word Help... it doesn't.
