Reporting in from Digestland; sorry if everyone else is tired of this
thread.
I've often thought that the next time I have the chance to start fresh on a
new project, instead of putting the action and result in two sentences per
step, I would try stating the result of the first step as
introduction/orientation in the second step:
1. Click <New Entry>.
2. In the New Entry window, enter the customer's name, blah, blah, blah . .
. .
Has anyone used this pattern? Were users able to follow the directions, or
is it _too_ minimalist?
