My guess is that Wanda would have gotten some 
of the suggestions you're thinking of had she not 
distracted everyone's attention away from her 
situation by posting her rather unappreciative
response to Bonnie's privately sent advice to the 
open list.

Nobody is ever obligated to follow advice, but 
there are certain niceties it would be wise to 
observe if one hopes to receive any.
