Style guide choice would be another. Our illustrious PhD team leader, who
has published one book (edited by someone else), came onboard several months
back only to shove the APA (that's the American Psychological Assn) style
down our throats. He had never heard of "that Chicago manual," to which it
(jokingly) became referred by the rest of us.

We ultimately convinced him that "the book published in Chicago,"
supplemented by the M$ techwriters' guide, was the way to go. We have had to
provide citations anytime we disagree with one of his edits!
