I had co-op (through Northeastern) at GE years ago, where I was
responsible for maintaining the parts manuals for the F404 engine.
When I interviewed, the manager said, "Our documents have to be
accurate. You can't pull a Hornet [F/A-18] over in mid-air to fix a
mistake."

I think the problem we're running into is trying to get "business
writing" and "technical writing" to fit into these nice little
buckets. Those buckets are actually pretty big, they're joined at the
top...and they have holes ;-) I do both technical and business writing
according to the definitions provided earlier.
