They can still publish it.  They'll need to add your
name to their own as co-author of the paper (good
luck on that one).

Whatever you do, do *not* sit silently by and let
them try to publish that paper only under their own
names; if they're found out, your professional rep
in that setting will be toasted along with theirs.
