TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I'm married to a judge (that's a lawyer in
recovery, btw), so I get to hang out with a lot
of lawyers and judges. While there are some real
ambulance chasers out there, I think every lawyer
I've ever known has been hesitant to sue anybody
if they think there's a chance that it's not
necessary. And even then, they'll tend to raise
the question "Is it worth it to you to spend this
much time and emotional energy (and, frequently,
money up front) to sue someone?"
(Just popped my head up for a moment--back to
work, back to work. I've got chapter 7 on the run. :) )
