Well, all I can say is that I am SO glad my husband pushed me to buy a
new laptop before the June 16 cut-off date - with XP Professional OS.

And the end of the story? I ordered a Dell Vostro with True Color (or
whatever)....

People complained about service, but I received my laptop a week before
the scheduled ship date, and in all my life, I never had such an easy
time reloading my files, installing Office 2000 with language pack,
getting my graphics installed, downloading updates from the web -

I got my computer on Tuesday, and last night I was doing work on it for
a client who needed something by this morning...

No slowing down, no lag, no connection problems...

So thanks to everyone for your advice which helped me narrow down to the
right choice for me!

And boy and I glad I don't have Vista!!!

Deborah
