Outside is one place that I just haven't been able to work on a
computer. Give me a book to devour, notes to sift through and collate,
or other paperwork and I'm good to go. But for some reason the great
outdoors and laptop-bound work just don't mix with me. I guess I'm too
conditioned to be indoors on a computer. ;) But stretched out with my
feet up on the sofa, I can be productive for hours on end.

Never drink and edit? Where's the thrill in that? ;-) But yes, I
generally don't mix work and alcohol. My company has a policy about it
at the office, and I adhere to it at home as well. The upside is that
when telecommuting, the trip from the office to home after work for a
beer is lightning fast. ;-)

Agreed, though I do tend to work best at home when I have no
interruptions, which also means IMs/email constantly coming in from
work. If that's going to happen (barrage of e-mail/IM/calls) then I'd
might as well be in the office. Can't a guy get just a few hours o
fpeaceful, quiet, uninterrupted sleep, er, work?
