With regard to Dutch usage, I had several Dutch friends when I lived
overseas.

My favorite was, "Can you borrow me," when they wanted me to loan them
something.

Turns out that in Dutch, there is no verb "to loan" - the concept is all
contained in the "Borrow" word.

Isn't language fun! <grin>
