OT: health insurance for individuals?

Canada. <g> Alas, we have the same problem here with supplemental  
insurance, but it's less of a problem because you still get good  
coverage by public health insurance. That being the case, if you're  
serious about shopping for insurance, try asking a local insurance  
broker. A good one will know the range of options available to you,  
and should be able to point you in the right direction.
