TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
If you as a techwriter can't do your own research and learn as much as
you can about the subject matter before you start asking questions, you
aren't a good techwriter...
Or any kind of techwriter at all...If you can't or aren't willing to to
that, please get out of the field...
(Sorry, currently unemployed, looking for a job and am quite tired of
running into the perception, fueled by useless "tech writers" who have
run down the pay scale for those of us who are professionals.)
