How about if you go up the food chain. There are engineers, there are
good engineers, there are great engineers, and there are those that
could be management if they wanted to be. Does the PE concentration
change as you go up the ladder?

Take Project Managers. There are those who manage
"any-ole-mundane-project", then there are those who seem to get the
hot products, then there are those who could manage project managers,
even if they chose not to. The closer you go to the top, the more
common those with PMPs show up on the list. They aren't there BECAUSE
they have PMP, they are there because they CAN get PMP'd

The question is, do you want to be "any-ole-mundane-writer" or do you
want to be the first one to get the plum assignment or product?
