I'm working on this very problem right now. Currently, from what I can
tell, there are a grand total one ONE tech writer jobs open in my
geographical area, and I'm unlikely to be the lucky candidate, owing to
the odds.

There are, of course, dozens if not hundreds of firms who have
documentation that stinks, if it exists at all. Will they do anything
about it? Only if it hurts. I'd like to know how to make it hurt, but if
I'm the one who finds and exposes their problem, I'm hardly likely to be
asked to fix it.

This is a "marketing" issue, and marketing is key to just about any
business, but that Gryphon stuff does not look compelling enough to me.
