Oops again. For "jpg" read "gif."

The mystery deepens.

When I open the Object Properties for the jpgs that were formerly bmps,
I find that the Scaling is set to 25400.18%.

When I look at the jpgs that I created with PSP screen shots, the
scaling is at 100%.

Is my SME creating the bmps with his monitor zoomed to 25400.18% regular
size? Is that even possible? And then he's saving the figures at that
size?

Hi, all. My SME is creating .bmp images for me.

I open them in PaintShopPro and save them as jpgs. I change the
resolution to 300 dpi and resize them so they are 5" wide. I do this
twice because it takes PSP two tries to get the correct width. I save
the file.

I import it into Frame at 300 dpi, and the import box tells me the
figure will be 5" wide.

However, when it comes in, it is as big as a picnic blanket. It is huge.

No amount of checking size settings or import settings changes this
behavior. Finally, I have to either save it at 2.5" wide in PSP or
import it at 600 dpi in Frame.

When I take screen shots in PSP, save them as jpgs, and resize to the
same values, everything works fine. Why doesn't this work with the bmp
file?
