I had a contract like that.

Me too, but I had two binders of policies and procedures.

I was told at the beginning of the contract, that my work would wind up in a
binder somewhere to sit on some manager's shelf and "look pretty."  With
this in mind, I made an attractive cover and binding for the binders.

I've never heard what became of my work.  I was also programming a project
tracking database in Access and the person who needed it completed his part
of the contract before me and before I finished work.  The project manager
left at the same time and told me to continue working on the database for
another month.  Those two had arrangements that they would be paid for the
full contract if they finished work early.  The only way I could get paid
for the full contract was to continue working on a project that nobody would
use.

I do still have my binders from that job and the electronic copies of some
of the documents.  They're like souvenirs.
