You're correct that the compound has been around long enough to legitimately
lose the hyphen. To me, whether you should drop the hyphen or not depends on
your audience. Young, progressive, leading edge? (game developers,
advertising execs) Drop it. Older, staid, conservative? (bankers,
accountants) Keep it in.
