When I got my last job (since laid off due to economy) I was asked what I
was looking for. I gave a 10K range. The offer gave me a salary at the lower
end (not the bottom) and the bonus would have made the number at the upper
end (not the top). It didn't feel slimy because The salary was within the
range of what I had asked for.

Great job, great work atmosphere, great company, too many (mostly) financial
customers. Sigh.
