Another new one, seen on some urban freeway cloverleaf exits, has the

I don't know the history of that sign, either, except perhaps from tanker
trucks tipping over on cloverleaf highway entrances, exploding, and taking
out the overpass of the crossing highway, as happened on the Washington DC
Beltway entrance from VA Rte 236 in the late '70's or '80's (my mother
thought "they" had nuked the capitol from the appearance of that fireball).
