I've been planning things out in writing (or with diagrams) more since
mid-autumn, though not strictly following any particular method -- a
bit of GTD, a bit of mind-mapping, a dash of First Things First
"four-quadrant" organizing, etc (i.e. I'm experimenting). Despite the
time it takes (and it does take time), things feel more orderly, I'm
forgetting fewer things, and I'm able to look back more easily on what
I've done after all is finished and the files are filed away (helps
with performance reviews). No complaints yet from anyone about how
much I'm getting done, so the additional overhead must not be too bad.
