Unable to import Robohelp HTML files when using source control

Hello All!
Hope someone may be able to help me.
When I put a project under source control, I am no longer able to import
HTML files (topics) from my other Robohelp HTML projects.
I have never had a problem importing HTML files before the project was
put under version control.
I am using Robohelp X5 HTML and Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 2005. The
HTML files that I am trying to import are in a Robohelp (X5) project
that is not under source control.
I also downloaded the free Robohelp 8 trial, tried the same scenario and
ended up with the same results.
Is there another way to import HTML files when under version control?
I posted the same question in the Adobe forum yesterday and received no
response yet. Has anyone seen this issue?
