This is the most important question to address. If the
president wants the terminology because it's a play
off the product's actual name, then your objective is
to recast the documentation so that it both describes
the tech correctly and supports the marketing. Selling
the product beats being grammatically correct.

The president of the company saw my manual and corrected me: it is called
"Advanced Processing". He's a good writer, btw, and English is his first
language, so I can't fault poor language skills. But I just think this is
incorrect. Of course, if that is actually what the product is called, then
I'll have to refer to it that way in the manuals.
