I've belonged to both STC and the PCS since 1992, and have over the years attended both the STC annual conference and the IPCC (the PCS annual conference).
They're both great organizations that provide valuable resources, although at least to me, PCS is a little more technically/practically oriented and a little more down-to-earth. I really enjoyed the conferences (although I haven't been in several years).
And as an added bonus, IPCC is in Hawaii this year! ;)
