It shouldn't be embarrassing if you don't know an answer to a question
outside of the document world... they didn't know it either.  You'll
both while from finding out the answer.  One reason people like to play
"Ask A Tech Writer" is because even if the tech writer doesn't know the
answer, they probably have a good idea who does.

So they don't really expect me to know the answer, but rather to know
who to pass the question to. A bit less embarrassing, but also less
flattering.

And your use of the phrase "Ask A Tech Writer" has give me an idea for
part of s song parody. To the tune of "I'm a Girl Watcher" --
