Good question. I use OpenOffice at work (Windows) and NeoOffice at home
(Mac). I primarily like the NeoOffice version because of look-and-feel
issues, but I have not yet found any differences in functionality. I was
not aware that Oo no longer needed to run X to run on Macs. That was the
main reason I switched to NeoOffice. Thanks for the heads-up.

Any MAC users who can speak to the real differences between OpenOffice
and NeoOffice?

Since OOo stopped needing X to run on Mac, is there anything left to
recommend NeoOffice?

I use OOo whenever I can on Windows (exclusively at home - maybe 50/50
at the office), exclusively on Linux, exclusively (so far) on my own Mac
laptop when running OSX. It's nice to have a common interface and
feature set, no matter where I open a document.

Just wondering if anybody with experience can say if there remains any
real argument in favor of NeoOffice at all, or is it heading for the
dustbin of history.
