I had to get start getting used to Office 2007 since that was what was installed on this new laptop when I bought it. I hate it, but not because it's buggier. It seems to have the same number of flaws that make me want to strangle the programmers, but not necessarily more. The thing I hate most is having to relearn Word all over again. They went to this $%#$%%!$#! -at- #$!!!!! "ribbon" thing instead of the menus they used to have it, and I hate it with a terrible passion. Way too many of the menu selections are no longer arranged they way they used to be. I've been using this stuff for about 4 months and there are some Word commands that I still haven't been able to even find.

Personally, I am ! -at- #!$ sick and tired of having to relearn things again and again every time there's a new release. I'm sick of Microsoft changing all the interfaces for - as far as I can tell - no reason except they can. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the Word 2003 interface. The use of this "ribbon" thing is a marketing decision, not a usability decision, and I think it stinks.
