This is all too common as of late. There are many lowball writing jobs
going out to bid right now. Pay it no mind. If they find someone to
research, write, edit, and proofread a book, regardless of the length,
for $250, then they either have an extreme novice taking the job or
have found a genuine sucker. Politely thank them for the opportunity,
wish them well and decline further discourse about the job.
