Yes, I agree...
The best FrameMaker reference book that we know of is Scriptorium's
Publishing Fundamentals for Unstructured FrameMaker 8 by Sarah O'Keefe. This
is the book we provide as a reference guide for our FrameMaker students.
Front Runner offers a range of FrameMaker training options, including but
not limited to; mentoring after training assistance, live, online training,
in class or on-site.
We find that a lot of our students are self taught and need to come back for
some form of training to learn tips and tricks and best practices of the
software.
Feel free to call or email for your training needs.
Sincerely,
Veronica Kütt

It was _Publishing Fundamentals: Unstructured FrameMaker 8_ from Scriptorium
Press. Sorry I forgot to mention that. I am very satisfied with the book. It
got me up and running and has been a valuable reference since then. I'm not
much of a critic. At the time, I was just happy to find any book on the
topic at all. For some reason, I didn't find the Classroom in a Book until I
subscribed to the Frameusers list.

Adrianne,
What book did you buy? Were you satisfied with it?
(I find writers are -- rightly so -- very tough on educational texts.
Myself, I always sit down right there in the book store and start reading a
random chapter and if it doesn't "educate" me -- on that particular
chapter's topic -- in a few pages, I try another.)
Thanks,
Dave
